
Increasing the capacity of Türkiye trains in preparation for Eid al -Fitr
Abdelkader Uraloglu, the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, decided to increase the capacity of trains and organize additional trips to accommodate the request of passengers during Eid Al -Fitr.
Ihsanoglu announced that it was decided to increase the capacity of the trains by 12 thousand and 786 people in order to fulfill the request of passengers.
The minister pointed out that the capacity increases were made in high -speed trains and the main and regional trains to meet the increasing demand of passengers due to Eid al -Fitr.
An additional YHT services will also be organized on the Ankara - Istanbul - Ankara road.
A statement issued by the ministry said: "In order to meet the growing demand for travel during the holiday period, we will organize additional YHT trips between Ankara and Istanbul on March 28-29 and April 1, 2025."
He added: "The trips, which we planned as 6 mutual trips, will leave from Ankara at 09.40 o'clock from Istanbul Söğğçeşme at 18:00. Thus, we will provide a total of 2466 additional seats for 3 days."
The minister announced that the trains are: "Izmir Blue Express, Istren Express, Goni/Vangolo Express, Konya Blue Express, Igin Express, Eriece Express, 6 September Express, September 17 Express, Pamukali Express, Ankara Express, Ozzonkopro-Halkali Regional Train and Train Adraneh-Halkali Regional.
He said they would increase the seat capacity of 10,320 with 172 vehicles.
