
Public Transportation Increase in Ankara Starting Next Monday
The Municipality of Ankara has announced an increase in public transportation fares in the city, starting next Monday, in order to maintain service continuity and improve the quality of public transport.
The municipality explained that it continues to work on improving services and providing alternative solutions, such as enhancing bus and metro services and increasing the number of trips during peak hours.
According to the new adjustments, the prices will be as follows:
- Regular Ticket Fare: Increased from 21 TRY to 26 TRY.
- Student Ticket Fare: Increased from 10.5 TRY to 13 TRY.
- Monthly Student Subscription Fare: Increased from 300 TRY to 350 TRY.
According to the municipality's statement, these adjustments are part of the economic changes taking place in the country, and they are expected to affect other vital sectors as well.
The municipality also confirmed that "no commission fees will be charged when our citizens top up their transport cards using debit and credit cards."
