Ismail Yılmaz, the head of the Association of Exporters of Ornamental Plants and Products, revealed that Türkiye has exported 75 million roses to 30 countries in time for Valentine's Day, which falls on February 14.
Yılmaz mentioned that the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Germany are the top countries receiving roses from Türkiye for Valentine's Day.
He also noted that exports increased by 30% in January compared to the same period last year.
He added: "We expect revenues ranging between 8 to 10 million dollars from the export of approximately 75 million roses."
Yılmaz explained that the Netherlands is the leading importer of roses from Türkiye, followed by the United Kingdom, Germany, and Romania. The sector had a strong start to 2025.
