Friday .. the beginning of the mid -year holiday in Türkiye

Tomorrow, January 17, the mid-semester holidays start tomorrow, 2024-2025 in Türkiye. Students will enjoy two weeks after receiving the performance reports cards.

According to press reports, 20 million students in primary and secondary education institutions in Türkiye will receive performance reports today, then the mid -semester holiday starts from tomorrow, Friday.

The first semester of the academic year 2024-2025 had started on September 9, 2024 in Türkiye and is based on the end of the day.

For the first time this year, the Turkish Ministry of Education will present to the first grade students a "development report" that includes social and emotional learning skills instead of the report card within the range of the education program in the Turkish century.

In the report, the results of students learning and the components of the process will be taken into account, and their social and emotional skills will be reflected in the development report.

This will provide guidelines for parents about their children's progress. In development reports, concrete proposals will be submitted to parents to support student development.

Last year, the Ministry of Education applied the "Conclusion Week Week" initiative with the aim of encouraging students to participate in artistic, cultural, sports and scientific activities in the last week before the end of the semester in schools. This practice continued this year as well.

According to the statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Education, the hours of distribution of results reports were left to school administrations.

Results reports are distributed in schools between 09:00 and 10: 30 for students of the morning period and between 11:00 and 12: 00 for evening students.
