
Turkish Airlines tests the national monitoring radar system
Turkish Transport Minister Abdel -Qader Uraloglu revealed that the national monitoring radar system will enter the service in the first quarter of 2025, after integrating with the air traffic control system.
Ihsanoglu announced the completion of the Mode-S SSR testing process.
The minister said in a statement that the new system (Mode-S SSR) is the first monitoring radar in the field of civil aviation, to be developed with local and national experiences in Türkiye.
He stressed that the system will make important contributions to the heavy traffic in the Turkish airspace.
The Turkish Minister of Transport stressed that "Türkiye will not only manufacture civilian monitoring radars locally, but it will also be a state of exporting to it."
He pointed out that the aforementioned radar system meets European and international standards for the safety of civil and military air navigation.
