For Valentine's Day: here's Official Flower Prices in Türkiye
As Valentine's Day on February 14th approaches, the Ankara Florists' Chamber has announced that the price of a single rose in Turkey will range between 150 and 300 Turkish Lira, except in Istanbul.
Flower traders are preparing for a busy season, with millions of flowers expected to be sold for Valentine's Day.
Amin Çimen, the head of the Ankara Florists' Chamber, stated that the approved prices will remain unchanged compared to last month. He emphasized that traders will not exploit the occasion to raise prices.
He added, "We are one of the few sectors that do not take advantage of special occasions, and we have complete trust in all our members."
Çimen continued, saying, "We began preparations for Valentine's Day on February 1st, and we encourage citizens to report to the chambers of commerce if they notice overpriced sales."
He explained that the possibility of excessively raising prices is low, but confirmed that strict actions will be taken against any violations.
Çimen strongly stated, "If a trader in Ankara sells a single rose for 400 to 500 Lira, we will impose the necessary penalties."
